Kolhapur, a town on the left bank of the sacred Ganges in India, attracts visitors from all over the world with its charming charm and history. One of the most visited tourist attractions in Kolhapur is the Ajmer Dargah, a sprawling complex of sand and stone buildings that houses a large community of worshipers. The main attraction here is the beautiful, exquisitely carved Shikara, a replica of a Taj Mahal. This shikara is surrounded by several smaller buildings, which collectively house the various maharana or ghats of the temple. These or ghats were used by the royal courts of India to get their foot on the path of God.
